Questions to Ask Before you Hire a Web Design & Development Company
Grandma or Grandpa always said, "Interview at least three vendors before choosing, no matter what." Well, they were right and that little bit of wisdom stands true today.
Take some time to review and meet if possible each vendor. Your first impression might be your best impression. Is he or she dressed to do business?
If your motto is "I want the cheapest price!" Well you get what you pay for.
Questions:
- Review their portfolio or previous Websites they have created to get a feel for their design style.
- When moving from Website to Website did they load fast?
- Based on the content of the Website is it easy to find what you as an end-user might look for?
- Is there multiple forms of navigation to choose from?
- If you are using a 19" monitor does the Website look the same when you increase the browser to full size or does it ruin the design?
- Are there pop-up windows or does the Website use Frames? These could hurt your Website.
- Do a general Website search for the company, do they come up?
These are just a few concerns that might affect your project. Be sincere and clear when asking questions AND ask as many as needed. If they are going to work well with you they will take the time and answer them so you understand their answer. Don't settle for GeekSpeak.
